About

I'll always be my mother's daughter.

I am a final year multimedia student producing a magazine feature for my final major project. The Alzheimer's society have recently published that there are round 850,000 people in the UK with dementia, two thirds of which are female.

Many features in the past have highlighted and focused on the 'challenging behaviour' associated with someone who is living with Dementia, however this feature is set to turn the tables.

'I'll always be my mother's daughter' is a Multimedia Project that will focus heavily on the impact dementia has on the mother and daughter relationship in hand, and dig deep into the many obstacles they face as the disease develops.

This blog will follow the journey of the project and explore the stories of many different women affected by dementia.
